Hi, I’m Rupert Peddle, Camera & Steadicam Operator with over 10 years’ experience working in features, TV drama, commercial, music and fashion projects with many different camera systems.

My visual journey started early, the family slideshows were the Netflix of the time! This progressed to shooting photos on my very first school trip away from home to the Lake District, and have hardly had a camera out of my hands since. I studied engineering and computers which put me in a great position when digital still cameras and workflows took over from film. With accessible digital camcorders, an interest in moving images took hold which lead to numerous mountain bike and snowboard films, of varying quality! My journey into the film industry started with a connection into the local short film scene, and I continue to see how deep the rabbit hole goes.

I mainly work in independent drama productions, both long and short form, where I relish the creative possibilities of working with other crew  members to visually develop and propel the narrative. I am also at home on HETV and commercial sets, and have worked on numerous music videos where my sense of rhythm can come into full effect. I am known for being very personable, professional and an ability to work creatively with others while keeping a level head and a sense of humour under the inevitable pressure. I am an Associate Member of the ACO.

When not on set, I enjoy the safe and sensible activities of surfing, snowboarding and mountain biking, with a bit of mixology and DJing on the side.
